One of the main achievements of Charnock Richard Junior Football Club in recent years has been the gaining of the Football Association Charter Standard award.
What this award means is that the Club is now officially recognised by the FA as a Club which promotes and develops good practice within junior and youth football. Much hard work and time was put in to gain this award and it is worth detailing that:
- Each team has an FA qualified coach.
- Each team manager will hold a child protection certificate and an emergency First aid certificate.
- There is a Club Welfare Officer appointed at all times.
- Codes of Conduct are in place for players, managers, club officials and parents.
- Discrimination of any form is opposed.
- Fair play is promoted and any form of behaviour, both on and off the field, considered detrimental to the Club is not tolerated.
By gaining this award, avenues for further funding and the provision of facilities have been opened up which we will be pursuing actively in the future while we are also in the process of developing our own website, so that news and information concerning the Club will be more readily and widely available.
